WOMEN WHO GROW

ELORA FINE FARMING

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Some stories begin with a single idea. Others are built slowly over decades through consistency, adaptation and an understanding that good food starts long before it reaches the plate.

Elora Fine Farming emerged from more than twenty years spent growing alongside the land. Shaped through the family’s work with Choice Seedlings and Windy Hills Farm, the brand represents a natural continuation of that journey. One grounded in quality, provenance and a deep respect for where food comes from.

The project centred around Women Who Grow, a storytelling piece focused on Germaine Borg and the quiet leadership that has helped shape the direction of the business over time.

A story shaped through growing, adaptation and a long-term commitment to quality produce.

Alongside her husband Jeff, Germaine has played a defining role across Choice Seedlings, Windy Hills Farm and now Elora Fine Farming. The story reflects years of steady work, from supplying seedlings to farms across Australia, navigating the uncertainty of COVID, building Windy Hills Farm and eventually creating a produce brand of their own.

What stood out most was the sense of care woven through every part of the operation. Not just in the produce itself, but in the people behind it. The patience required. The adaptability. The understanding that farming is rarely linear.
